In 2021, my journey with Willow and Hare Stitching began when my local quilting group invited me to teach my designs at a workshop. Originally created for personal enjoyment, my quilts and textile creations caught the eye of local gatherings and workshops across the country. Encouraged by the growing interest, I transitioned from creating solely for myself to developing patterns for others to enjoy and learn from. Establishing Willow and Hare Stitching allowed me to share my skills, passion, and creativity on a broader scale.
Sewing and embroidery have been my lifelong passions, nurtured by fond memories of crafting with my grandmother during school holidays. My formal education in Textiles further fuelled my love for creating beautiful and meaningful pieces. Inspired by the tranquillity of the countryside and the changing seasons, my designs reflect the flora, fauna, and hues of the British Isles.
For me, hand stitching is more than a hobby—it's a mindful escape into creativity. Influenced by my admiration for vintage aesthetics and the intricate details of English Paper Piecing and Quilting, I blend traditional techniques with my own unique style of hand Appliqué and Embroidery. Each piece features a thoughtfully curated mix of fabrics and threads chosen to add texture and depth, capturing the gentle tones and history of bygone days.
Collaborating with designers and specialist shops in the UK and abroad, I offer bespoke workshops and teach at retreats. Whether in personal sessions or small groups, I am dedicated to nurturing creativity through hands-on learning experiences.
