As I write this, we are in a heatwave here in England, so Christmas wasn't the first thing I thought of this morning when I reached for my morning cup of tea ....
As we are half way through the year, it is the time when most stitchers like you and I, start to think about projects we want to start and finish. Projects that help us to create a cosy home, to give as a heartfelt gift for a loved one, and to help us celebrate the festive season ...
This design was inspired by my love of the countryside, and collecting berries and foliage to make my Christmas wreath, one of my favourite past times, and very nostalgic.
Finished size 14 x 17 inches.
The pattern for this design contains detailed instructions on the techniques used, and construction. It contains a requirements list, which specifies products and colours I used in my original design, and I have included photographs of the original design for reference. The pattern contains drawings from which to make templates and pattern transfer to your chosen fabric. It ideal for the beginner to the advanced stitcher.

This whimsical and folksy pincushion design mimics a hare running on top of a hill, with each side representing a season.
The seasonal designs on each for the four sides are taken from a selection of my collections: ‘Rosehips’, ‘The Holly, The Ivy and The Hare’, ‘In the Meadow’.
I use a mixture of cottons and hand dyed woven wool, and include my favourite past times of hand appliqué, embroidery and English paper piecing.
Available to purchase in my Etsy shop from 1st June www.willowharestitching.etsy.com
